Outstanding Zin for $15

I was in a high-caliber wine store last week and one of their in-house Zinfandel wine review comments caught my eye - it read, "what a Zin should be".  Zins are typically sweeter than other varietals due to their grapes' high sugar content and, because Zins require more labor to maintain, they are typically at a higher price point.  That being said, I recommend you buy this smooth and fruity Zin in bulk and drink up because Zins this good, and at this price point, don't come around too often. "Robert Reynolds - Rocky's Block - Old Vine - 2007 - Lodi" is a fantastic value at $15 and is definitely worth buying over a sixer.

Out of This World Kids' Bedrooms

A good friend-of-a-friend posted these photos of his boys' bedrooms on Facebook and I had to share them because they are out of this world! These boys are so lucky to have such a talented, creative, and cool Mom to design their rooms - wow! Every last detail is just perfect. Talk about fueling a child's imagination!

Loving Garnet Hill's Storage Bins

I just got the new Garnet Hill catalogue and I'm loving their storage bins!  Maybe I'm biased because they happen to be in one of my all-time favorite color combos (orange and blue) but I absolutely love how bright and cheery they are with their polka-dotted and fish patterns.  They could work in a bathroom, a kid's bedroom, a playroom, a mudroom, etc...so many options!

Gearing up for Golf Season

One month from today PRG and I will be leaving for Puerto Rico, and I'm particularly excited since it's been such a long and snowy winter here in New England.  As part of the trip, we're going to play golf which is one of my favorite things to do.  I love being outside for a few hours (hopefully in good weather), spending quality time with whichever family members or friends I happen to be playing with, and trying new courses.

A couple of years ago I received Ame & Lulu golf club head covers, a shoe bag holder, and a carry-all for Christmas and they certainly add some pizazz to my golf bag.  Playing golf is fun, but having good-looking accessories while playing makes it even more fun.

Here are some of Ame & Lulu's newest golf accessory patterns from their new spring line.  You'll definitely be able to find one to match your bag and they're very affordable to top it all off!

Golf Club Head Covers: $79
Golf Carry-All: $26
Golf Shoe Bag: $44

Ame & Lulu also makes great tennis accessories, yoga accessories, diaper bags, dog beds and leashes, travel bags, laptop bags, and the list goes on.   You can check out their site here.

Statement Chairs

PRG and I recently inherited a great chair that used to be his grandmother's.  The chair itself was perfectly intact but its fabric and cushion needed a little TLC.  Then, as such a nice surprise, PRG's mom offered to get it reupholstered for us as a gift!  So nice of her!  Needless to say PRG and I were really excited to be getting this chair which used to be his grandmother's, so we headed to a local home decor store with his mom to pick out a fabric.  It was such a fun project - we sat on the floor of the store, surrounded by piles of fabric books and began trying to pick a fabric.  We chose a wide-striped, beige and ivory fabric because we think it will be able to make a statement while still being versatile enough to put in any room, in any home we may move into down the road, and I'm already excited to jazz it up with colorful pillows.  I unfortunately don't have a picture of our new chair just yet because it's still in the process of getting reupholstered, but once we get it back, I'll take a pic to show you!

In the meantime, here are some statement chairs I have come across that I think really pack a punch.  I had to include two striped ones because I love how they each convey stripes in a different way.

Oscar-Worthy Kitchens?

Like everyone else, I was scoping out all of the celebrity dresses while watching the Oscars on Sunday night.  As I was watching, a thought popped into my head -- what do their kitchens looks like?   Kind of weird, I'll admit -- but I'm so curious!  We know their red carpet styles, but what are their kitchen styles?   So I did a little digging and here are some Oscar actress kitchen pics I was able to find.  Which one is your favorite?  Do any of these surprise you?
